Core Wellness Centre offers chiropractic laser therapy, which is a non-invasive treatment that can help relieve pain and improve your overall health.
Cold laser therapy has been around for about 30 years, but more recent improvements in the development and manufacturing of cold laser therapy has opened up the treatment to patients who look for a non-invasive, non-narcotic, pain treatment option.
Dr. Kris Dorken of Core Wellness Center in Toronto now offers cold laser therapy.
Cold laser therapy for pain works similarly to acupuncture. The laser targets the same points on the body as acupuncture, using pin-pointed light that goes deep into the tissue, instead of needles, to stimulate deep tissue areas that are causing pain. The treatment itself is pain free. There are no complications from dependency as with narcotic pain treatment.
Cold laser therapy is known to reduce joint pain and swelling and has been shown to be effective for treatment of Rhuematoid Arthritis flair-ups and other joint disorders. It is an effective treatment for a wide range of conditions such as shoulder, neck or leg pain, arthritis, skin infections, sports injuries, wounds or infections.
The laser light used from the devise causes cellular reactions and accelerates the natural biological healing and regeneration process. Treatment depends on the patient’s particular ailment. Less serious conditions require around 10 visits while chronic conditions require around 20 or more visits. While some people experience immediate symptom relief, usually the benefits of cold laser therapy are felt after 4 to 6 visits.
